Trump: Already A Big Gap Between Promises and His Policies

During his campaign, President-elect Donald Trump promised that he would take the side of American workers against economic elites when evaluating policy. Yet the policy proposals he put forth during the campaign had nothing in them that would actually help working — and middle-class Americans. Now that more plans and potential Cabinet appointments are coming into focus, it looks worse than many of us thought even before the election. Continue reading

Call Boehner’s Bluff

Speaker of the House Boehner on morning tv got my blood boiling right off the bat.

We’ve done our job under the Constitution” stated Mr. Boehner on FOX news as my tea pot began to whistle.  Now it’s time that the Senate does theirs and pass the Homeland Security funding bill, he said with a smirk on his face.

What a crock of sh**.  Let DHS funding lapse.  I say go ahead!  The U.S. has had government shutdowns before and survived juuuuust fine. 17 of them, in fact, between 1970 and the 1990s.

Did any one of you notice or feel any pain? Of course not.  It’s pure rubbish and typical GOP fear mongering.  The skies going to fall!  They’re not doing their job!  It’s their fault!

Cruz’s Failed Attempt At Sincerity. Same Old Half Truths

See Cruz video here.  It will not display for some reason.
You know you’re a grown up when you watch not only Meet The Press on Sundays but can actually stay awake during the State of The Union address from any President.  While I did not vote for Obama, I personally watch the SOTU from a taxpayer point of view.

What does he want to see changed going forward, even though (sadly) we all know the GOP-held Congress won’t play along nicely.  Two more years of bickering ahead; guaranteed.

Both sides of the aisle are bought and paid for by their wealthy donors; that’s a given but the GOP certainly has no pride when it comes to blatantly selling out the American people.  I had to chuckle this morning when I saw this over at Dem site DailyKos where presidential hopeful Ted Cruz gave a knee-jerk reaction to Obama’s speech, stopped a few minutes in and restarted.  Isn’t it strange it was pulled from Youtube?  LOL classic.

Who Should Have More Power? New GOP-Lead Congress Losing Steam

If you think about it, this truly is an interesting question “Who should have more power?  Congress or the President of United States” in determining the direction of our country?  Obviously our system is designed for Congress to draft legislation and the President to sign off, but the stark differences in opinion have never been more wide and evident, than between the current/former Congress, and current President Obama.

And Congress, seems to have angered the American public with its blatant cronyism which were passed in the lame duck session at the end of 2014, coupled with the first ones issued since the beginning of January when the new Congress re-convened.
